GEMSTONES

Gemstones are mined from within the earth. Precious or semi-precious stones come in untreated, natural forms that are similar to stones. Then those are treated for clarity the way they are sold in stores as you may have seen them such as emeralds and rubies as clear and sparkly. Here you will also find them in their untreated form, both cut and uncut, rough forms.

There are also agates, such as quartz, in various colors that are gemstones but a level below precious and semi-precious stones. Many colors come in different stones, but the same color, such as green for cut emeralds, untreated emeralds, green jade, and green aventurine, an agate.

The same jade can come as red jade or a completely different stone as red agate. Jade is mined in a variety of colors due to natural processes from within the earth such as pressure and the color of the soil that give jade its color.
